Breathwork for Healing
Are you a racial-ethnic minority college student interested in trying breathwork for stress management? We are inviting students to participate in a voluntary UCLA research study to help provide feedback on Breathwork for Healing, a new program designed to support college students’ well-being. Everything can be done from the comfort of your home!
What does participation involve?
You’ll join a virtual focus group on Zoom where you will:
(1) Complete a brief survey about your stress, mood, and well-being
(2) try four short guided breathwork exercises (1-5 minutes each) from our mobile app
(3) share your thoughts on how satisfying, engaging, or difficult each exercise felt
(4) join a short group discussion about what might help—or make it harder—to take part in a two-week breathwork program in the future
Before you begin, you’ll complete a brief 5-minute screening survey to see if you’re eligible. This survey will ask questions about your demographics, mental health and medical history, and previous mindfulness or meditation experience.
